EVORICH Flooring’s Group Managing Director, Mr Dennis Teo, was invited to ITE College Central to share a career speech and his entrepreneurial journey on 4th October 2019, Friday. Arranged by ITE College Central, the talk allows ITE students to have the opportunity to have direct interaction with the current flooring industry influencer.
The Institute of Technical Education (ITE), a statutory board under the Ministry of Education, has been providing secondary dropouts so they will have the necessary help, resources and pre-work training before becoming an independent working adult.
During the presentation, Mr Dennis Teo talked about how he started his business and how he eventually built EVORICH Flooring, the now one of the major flooring giants in Singapore, from scratch 16 years ago. Apart from that, Mr Dennis Teo also shared his business philosophy, the critical mindsets and human factors for business success, the safest guide in any economy, and his suggestions to the ITE students before starting their own business in the future.
Having developed care for the community and the underprivileged teenagers, Mr Dennis Teo has been a long-time volunteer in giving back to the society.
“As an autodidact who started empty-handed since a young age myself, I feel a strong connection with these students and would like to help them by imparting my experience and knowledge so that their future journey will be smoother and less bumpy.” – said Mr Dennis Teo.
At the end of the session, Mr Dennis Teo wrapped up the speech with the Q&A session. The students responded enthusiastically and were eager to raise questions or share their piece of mind. The ITE entrepreneur talk brought to a successful close, and the flooring managing director look forward to attending another contributive event like this.
